Class Descriptions
With a new mix of classes offered every month, you'll have the opportunity to discover yoga in its many forms. Please check our online schedule to find out which classes are offered this month. Classes are 60 or 75 minutes long unless otherwise noted and are open to all abilities.
This is a full list of classes we offer. Some classes are always on the schedule and are listed below as ongoing. All other classes will be offered upon request or at the instructor's discretion.
Ananda Yoga
Ananda means bliss, happiness or joy in Sanskrit and this class is sure to lighten your spirit! A unique combination of hatha (focus on alignment and balance) and vinyasa flow (focus on movement and breath), we'll create a class that will leave you blissed out and de-stressed!
Chakra Balancing Flow
Chakras are energetic power centers that both take in and distribute energy throughout the body. This class focuses on balancing and opening the energy flow through your chakras for optimal health and well-being.
Gentle Yoga - ongoing
This class includes gentle movement, stretching and breathing as well as restorative poses to rejuvenate and enliven the body, mind and spirit.
Hatha Yoga - ongoing
Hatha focuses on the physical foundation of postures and breathing techniques.
Hot Flow
We'll warm up the studio for this vinyasa flow workout designed to make you sweat. Not as hot as traditional bikram and more fun (music!), don't forget to bring your water bottle and a towel.
Restorative Yoga
All forms of yoga offer extensive physical and psychological benefits but restorative yoga takes renewal to the next level. Used to trigger the parasympathetic nervous system, this class helps stimulate the immune and endocrine systems as well as lower heart rate and blood pressure.
Sunrise Yoga - ongoing
Start the day with awareness and notice the difference! Wake your body with gentle stretches then move into a practice designed to set the stage for an intention-centered, heart-centered day.
Vinyasa Flow - ongoing
Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement." This class will encourage us to discover the potential in slowing the breath and flow of vinyasa. We will focus on blending alignment with our own natural rhythm of movement. This is a great class for any level of student wishing to establish or reinforce a strong foundation.
Vin/Hatha - ongoing
A fusion of vinyasa and hatha, students are led through gentle, synchronized movement with each pose held a few seconds longer than a traditional vinyasa flow class. A refreshing focus on movement, alignment and breathing!
Yin Yang Yoga
Does your asana practice sometimes feel more focused on achievement than on gaining inner harmony and peace? Our Yin Yang Yoga class combines passive and active asanas with prayanama and meditation. The result is a class that will increase your flexibility and strength while also working on the deep connective tissues and joins which make it easier for students to sit comfortably in meditation.
Yoga Basics - ongoing
Our Yoga Basics class is highly recommended for new students. Even if you've taken a few classes with us, we encourage you to attend this class where you can ask questions and receive hands-on assistance.
